Residential purchases rose to 52,981 units in the first month of the year, up 5% from January 2022 and recovering from the 9.8% year-on-year decline recorded in December.
Home sales and purchases reached 52,981 transactions last January, 5% more than in the same month of 2022, after a 9.8% drop in December, according to the Real Estate Registry Statistics published this Tuesday by the Association of Registrars.
According to the advance of provisional data from the real estate registry statistics for January 2023, the number of total sales and purchases barely varied with respect to the same month of the previous year, with a slight decrease of 0.1%, after last December’s significant drop of 13.3% with respect to November.
Home sales and purchases have increased by more than 2,500 transactionsFrom 50,463 registrations in January 2022, the number has risen to 52,981 for the same month this year, a year-on-year increase of 5% after a 9.8% drop in December.
